You've come along way baby. Now in its 14th sensational year, Mascara is all about new blood
with a record number of newcomers set to take the stage for Montréal's annual three-hour
gender-bending tour-de-force. Inspired by pop culture phenomena like Glee and So You Think
You Can Dance as well as reigning divas such as Kylie and Lady Gaga upping the ante with
enormous blow-out spectacles, this year's crop of queens will join an army of dancers in highly
polished numbers and performances. As always, Mistress of Ceremonies Mado will serve as
the High Commander of Fabulousness for one of Divers/Cité's most extraordinary events with a
reputation to prove it.
The Sunset Party mixes it up this year with two pairs of DJs bouncing beats off each other for
some tag-team turntable trickery. Local all-star DJ Alain Jackinsky and SoCal-based DJ Paulo
join creative forces, sharing the night with power duo Ana Paula - Brazil's Mistress of Spin - and
Mexico's Isaac Escalante.
Sold out weeks before the event in 2010, D/C Party is Grammy Award winner DJ Peter
Rauhofer’s annual rendez-vous. Canadian rising star Etienne Ozborne will set the stage for this
musical journey.
Pulling up stakes and moving to Montréal's impressive Théatre Telus this year - complete with the best sound in the city and a layout beyond compare - Lesbomonde gets an overhaul with a cabaret concept ruling the East Coast's most anticipated Sapphic soirée. Especially for Divers/Cité, Toronto's Kish/Delish ups the ante by adding drums to their already high-energy sets and Montréal's beloved Sandy Duperval will present a special performance with her musicians and her super seductive sounds. Lesbomonde is THE night for the ladies.
