Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts, 175 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest
7 PM – Amour, Acide et Noix (Daniel Léveillé Danse)
9:30 PM – Un peu de tendresse, bordel de merde! (Dave St-Pierre)
DAVE ST-PIERRE
Like fellow Québécois choreographers Marie Chouinard and Édouard Lock, this generation’s
enfant terrible approaches the themes of sexuality and gender head-on with a boundless energy that can fill a large stage. St-Pierre brings Un peu de tendresse, bordel de merde! - part of his infamous triptych on love, life and death - to the Place des Arts stage for a special performance at
this year's Flexx.
DANIEL LÉVEILLÉ DANSE
With a singular standing in Canadian dance as both a choreographer and a teacher, Daniel
Léveillé's work is kept to an expressive minimalism with raw and potent beauty. For Flexx he presents his award-winning Amour, Acide et Noix, a modern piece for one female and three male dancers that explores solitude and an irrepressible desire for contact through movement that is energetic and sometimes abrupt.
