Sarah Neufeld
(Arcade Fire / Bell Orchestre)
Originally from Vancouver Island, BC, Sarah Neufeld began playing the violin at the age of 3. Her musical pursuits brought her to Montreal in 1998, where she resides to this day. She is best known as a member of the indie rock phenomenon Arcade Fire, as well as instrumental post-rock ensemble, Bell Orchestre. With these bands she has cumulatively received five Juno awards, two Brit awards, Canada's Polaris Prize and a Grammy for Best Album of the Year in 2011.
Fanny Bloom
Fanny Bloom is no stranger to the Montreal scene. Exploring a rhythm reminiscent of Lykke Li, Gonzales and Sebastien Tellier, Bloom recently released ”Apprentie Guerrière”, her first album since dismantling her bubbly-pop band, La Patère Rose. Combining evolved piano melodies and deep urban sounds with an intimate feel, it's as if through her music, the once-naïve Fanny has grown into a woman - replacing the crayons and little-girl pigtails with blood-red lipstick and messy hair.

Dirty Mags
With a self-styled sound, their own ‘dirty pretty’ ethos inspired by The Horrors, The Strokes, The Libertines and their old favourites, Nirvana, Dirty Mags play a blend of down tempo garage rock infused with elements of grunge. The four members' individual influences and inputs merge to create something unadulterated, undiluted, and most importantly, unapologetic. Set to begin recording their debut release - due out this fall on White Girl Records/EMI Music.
